About Me

Hey, I’m Chris — a software developer with a focus on web development, developer tooling, and building fast, reliable applications.

I’ve been writing software professionally for over a decade, working across startups and larger orgs. These days I spend most of my time in Go, TypeScript, and whatever else the project calls for.

What I Write About

This blog is a place to capture things I’m learning, experiments I’m running, and opinions I’ve formed (and sometimes revised). Topics include:

  • Static site generators — Hugo, Astro, Eleventy, and the tradeoffs between them
  • Web performance — Core Web Vitals, rendering strategies, and making things fast
  • Developer tooling — CI/CD, GitHub Actions, local dev setup, and automation
  • Go and TypeScript — language features, patterns, and things that trip people up

Side Projects

Outside of the day job I maintain a few open-source projects and build small tools that scratch personal itches.
